About Sherwin-Williams

Sherwin-Williams is an American company that deals with the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of paints, coatings, and related products. The company may be based in Cleveland, Ohio, but they certainly have a network of companies that spreads all around the world. The company mainly services North and South American and European markets but has managed to have operations in more than 120 countries at last count.
It's little wonder that their logo is a picture of Sherwin-Williams paint covering the earth. There could hardly be a more appropriate logo for the company.
The history of Sherwin-Williams dates from 1866 when Henry Sherwin decided to invest in Truman Dunham & Co., a paint distributorship. Four years later, the partnership dissolved, and Sherwin formed Sherwin, Williams, and co with Edward Williams and A.T Osborn. Just three years later, the company opened its first factory in Cleveland— and they've stayed in Cleveland ever since. By the early 1920s, Sherwin-Williams had grown so much that it was already the largest coatings manufacturer in America. It wasn't an overnight success, of course, but it was near it.
Asides from being a behemoth of paints and coating, Sherwin-Williams is also a great place to work. At least that's what Computerworld, a leading trade publication in the data processing industry, thinks. That's why the company was named the #58 best place to work in IT by Computerworld in 2011. In 2015 the company was also recognized as the most used brand in the Paints Category of the Builders magazine.
However, it's safe to say that these accolades haven't changed the key values of Sherwin-Williams, which are integrity, great customer care, and quality service.
