Eat at Wade's is excited to continue helping Spartanburg for the ensuing 75 years. Wade and Betty Lindsey opened Wade's Restaurant on March 6, 1947, after buying Mrs. May's Grocery, a small grocery store on South Pine Street in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Wade's offers cuisine prepared to be appreciated in its natural state. We favor using the finest ingredients while preparing food and preserving recipes for future generations. We don't cut corners. At Wade's, the customer service is impeccable, and they are happy to serve their customers, ensuring they get delicious meals. For example, they ensure that their kitchen is a place for delicious and wholesome cuisines. They hand-cut and hand-mix the cornbread and yeast bread. They only provide our visitors with the freshest bread, period.
The daily menu consists of portions of meat, vegetables and beverages according to the daily ratio of consumers. Therefore, different options are available in each category, with a dish for every consumer. Additionally, plates cost 1.79 for soft drinks and 1.29 for tea or coffee, with a yeast bun or cornbread muffin. Extra loaves of bread cost.55 apiece. Hand-Breaded Chicken We have fried chicken that consistently wins awards. This is because they only utilize fresh chicken—never frozen. It is hand-breaded and perfectly cooked until golden brown. Seasoned Veggies The meals are prepared in-house from scratch by chefs who are concerned about quality. They use tried-and-true family recipes to create perfectly spiced Southern-style vegetables. Perfectly-Brewed Tea Nothing about their tea is instant. Just as you would at home, hot water is used to steep teabags. Additionally, every Sweet Tea at Wade's is topped with the distinctive freshly sliced lemon and served over irresistible crushed ice. Available in gallons or by the glass! Homemade Desserts Wade's doesn't sell it if it doesn't live up to their strict standards, just like everything else on the menu. However, you can be sure that it is homemade and delicious whether you choose one of the made-from-scratch pies, a freshly baked cobbler, or a serving of the famous banana pudding.
Bulk orders are for events of organizations and private events as well. Wade's HOT & READY Bulk Order, can feed 15 to 125 people! They supply the food, and you are in charge of feeding your group. Choose a meat and veggie item from their vast list below to place your order. The food packaging will be in disposable pans for quick set-up and cleanup. You can even buy paper goods and serving dishes.
